The Role of GHST in Aavegotchi
GHST powers the Aavegotchi ecosystem, primarily functioning as a utility token. Users interact with GHST in several ways, including purchasing Aavegotchi NFTs, accessories, and consumables for in-game activities. The token is also used to vote on key proposals through the platform’s decentralized governance structure, the AavegotchiDAO.
GHST and Aavegotchi NFTs
A central feature of the Aavegotchi ecosystem is its NFTs — ghost-themed, pixelated creatures that are backed by interest-generating tokens (aTokens). Players need GHST to summon (or “mint”) these Aavegotchis via “portals.” Once an Aavegotchi is summoned, GHST can be used to customize or enhance these NFTs by purchasing wearables and consumables from the platform’s Bazaar, the primary marketplace within the ecosystem.
