Gilles Fedak: Co-Founder and CEO
Dr. Gilles Fedak is one of the co-founders and the CEO of iExec. He holds a PhD in Parallel and Distributed Computing from Paris Sud University. Before starting iExec, Dr. Fedak had a strong academic background, working as a researcher at Inria, the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation. His past work focused on grid computing, which played a critical role in shaping the iExec vision of decentralized computing resources.
Dr. Fedak’s extensive research and understanding of distributed computing form the technical backbone of iExec’s platform. Under his leadership, iExec has aimed to combine his academic experience with the practical needs of the blockchain space.
Haiwu He: Co-Founder and Head of APAC
Dr. Haiwu He is another co-founder of iExec and serves as its Head of the Asia-Pacific region. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and has a research focus that overlaps with Dr. Fedak’s, particularly in distributed computing. Dr. He previously worked at the French Institute for Research in Computer Science (Inria), and he has served as a professor at Chinese Academy of Sciences as well.
Dr. He’s leadership in expanding iExec into APAC markets has been crucial, especially given the increasing interest in blockchain technology across China and other Asian countries. He has leveraged his academic reputation and regional expertise to boost iExec's visibility and adoption in these markets.
Eric Rodriguez: COO
Eric Rodriguez brings the business aspect to the founding team of iExec. While not as academically focused as Fedak and He, Rodriguez offers a pragmatic approach to iExec's operational and business strategies. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and has worked on scaling the project’s adoption among corporate and institutional clients.
