Quant Network, the blockchain company responsible for the QNT cryptocurrency, was founded in 2017 by a team of experienced professionals from a variety of backgrounds. Gilbert Verdian – Founder and CEO
Gilbert Verdian is the visionary behind Quant Network and the driving force behind QNT. With over two decades of experience across various sectors, Verdian gained extensive knowledge of both cybersecurity and emerging technologies. He has held key positions in notable organizations, including the UK government, Ernst & Young, and HSBC. Additionally, Verdian played an active role in establishing blockchain and cybersecurity standards through work on the ISO TC307 standards initiative, contributing to the creation of a unified framework for interoperable blockchains. His broad-ranging experience in secure technology environments laid the foundation for QNT's focus on security and interoperability.
Dr. Paolo Tasca – Chief Strategy Officer
Dr. Paolo Tasca, a blockchain economist, brings a wealth of experience from both the academic and professional realms. Before joining Quant Network, Dr. Tasca served as an advisor to the European Union on blockchain technologies and was engaged in research at University College London (UCL) on the economics of decentralized technologies. His contributions to the innovation and development of the DLT landscape have been instrumental in guiding QNT’s strategic direction, especially in ensuring that the network supports robust economic models for distributed systems.
Colin Paterson – Chief Technology Officer
Colin Paterson is Quant Network's chief technologist. With extensive experience in cybersecurity, software engineering, and enterprise technology, he played a critical role in the development and architecture of Overledger. Prior to joining Quant Network, Paterson co-founded several tech firms and worked on the design of secure systems for public and private sector clients. His understanding of complex, scalable infrastructure systems has contributed significantly to Overledger’s core functionality—enabling interoperable DLT solutions at scale.
